I’ve always worked with materials that would otherwise be thrown away, usually with the waste created my myself and my family. Having lived for a couple of years in a part of the world where milk and juice come in TetraPak cartons, I soon became inundated with them and started looking for a way to use them in a practical and aesthetic way.
I stumbled across some instructions on the internet in a (very small) image, in a different language, but from looking at the diagrams I started playing around with weaving loops and this allowed me to weave a small basket. Since then I have continued to experiment and search for others around the world making similar discoveries. Years later the possibilities are still expanding.
